SALFORD & TRAFFORD HEALTHY SCHOOL SCHEME

Welcome to the Salford & Trafford Healthy School Scheme Website.

This nationally accredited scheme encourages schools to develop a whole school approach to health promotion.

It focuses on relationships; curriculum development; liaison with the wider community; school environment and above all, the well-being and care of individuals in the school.

The scheme currently operates in over 100 schools across Salford & Trafford and is growing steadily.

Supported by members of the Healthy School Team, schools commit to ten health-related areas and work towards meeting achievable targets. Once the criteria of all ten areas have been met, the school is awarded the National Healthy School Award.
